When We Met the RAF

On Tuesday the 23rd October the Nuneaton Borough AFC Under16 Ladies visited RAF Cottesmore. After a Lector about what they do and what the RAF do the girls were taken to the Gym and put through there paces by the RAF PTI's. They did a warm up followed by a football orientated session. See the photos below. After an Hour the girls were starting to struggle and glad when the session was up. The PTI's also gave them a talk about the muscle groups and exercises that are used in football.

The Girls then had the chance to see the Harrier Fighter Planes and had a talk by on of the top pilots at the airbase. They all had the chance to sit in the plane and have a play. Here are some of the girls sat in the plane.

After Lunch in the junior ranks mess the girls went onto the high and low ropes which they all seemed to enjoy. As seen in the Photos below.

Finally to round the day off the girls went to meet the patrol dogs. They had a talk from the handlers about what the dogs do and then they sore one of the dogs go through its paces. Then they had the chance to have a stroke with the dogs (Most of the girls declined this opportunity).
